Flags For Heroes
An initiative of the Rotary Club of Clayton consisting of a public display of hundreds of American flags displayed in Clayton, NC, to honor our heroes.
We are excited to host our 7th annual Flags For Heroes. With your help, we will fly a spectacular display of hundreds of American flags in our Leigh Hudson Field of Honor next to the pond adjacent to UNC Johnston Health on Veterans Boulevard in Clayton, NC. This year, our display runs from Sunday, May 24, 2026, to Saturday, June 20, 2026. Join us for our opening ceremony on May 24th at 5:00 pm. The public is invited to help us raise the flags for all our heroes after the opening ceremony!
In 2020, we initially started our mission to display American flags to honor the heroes of our community during the pandemic: First Responders, frontline healthcare workers, and employees of open stores. We expanded it to our Military, Veterans, and anyone our community considered their heroes. We continue to honor everyone’s heroes each year: Veterans, current military, first responders, frontline healthcare workers, family, friends, and strangers who have touched our lives and been an inspiration to us all. To all of these heroes:
WE HONOR YOU!
